What's happening now.

" The problem with Democracy is that everyone is allowed to vote." unknown.

Daddy, preferred his older brother until he went wrong. He still preferred him after the brother died. So Daddy had only given him 40 millions at graduation, read that as kicked out of the house. Do you think you could make a profit if you started with $40,000,000.00?

In a vain effort to make himself look cool, this shameless self-promoter spent that 40 millions and promptly went bankrupt. Well his businesses did, at least *6 times. Because our boy had protected himself by hiring the man who taught him how to promote properly, Roy Cohn.

Roy Cohn, who served as Senator Joseph McCarthy's chief counsel during the "Communist witch hunt" of the 1950s, later became a lawyer and mentor for Donald Trump.

Cohen  taught him to tell a lie so many times that people begin to believe it. He taught him to threaten to counter sue so may times that his contractors finally gave up hope of ever collecting what he owed them.

The Newspapers and glossy mags laughed at him. The more he spent to look cool, the louder they laughed.

Women laughed at him, one or two must have chortled at mushroom boy.

Most importantly, President Obama and the Washington Press Corps laughed at him in a very public manner.

He'd show them, He'd show them all.

Indeed he did and against all odds became the President. The problem was it was the folks he saw as idiots & losers who voted for him.

In his first run as President, the World laughed at him and many people hated him. The people he gave high offices to help him, stopped him whenever he went too far. Too far for them, not for him.

So facing age and nearing the end of life, his mission became that before he died he would destroy the Country who had treated him so badly.

*6 Trump business bankruptcies:

Trump Taj Mahal (1991): The Atlantic City casino declared bankruptcy due to over $3 billion in debt, mostly from high-interest junk bonds.

Trump Castle (1992): This Atlantic City casino, his "weakest gambling hall," filed for a prepackaged bankruptcy plan.

Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino (1992): Facing more than $250 million in debt, this casino filed for prepackaged bankruptcy at the same time as the Trump Castle.

Plaza Hotel (1992): The New York hotel had accumulated over $550 million in debt. In the restructuring, Trump gave up a 49% stake.

Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts (2004): This filing involved three Atlantic City casinos and a riverboat casino in Indiana. Trump's ownership stake was reduced in the restructuring.

Trump Entertainment Resorts (2009): The company, which was formerly Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts, filed for bankruptcy after missing a bond interest payment.

Patriotism

Patriotism, n. Combustible rubbish ready to the torch of anyone ambitious to illuminate his name.

In Dr. Johnson's famous dictionary patriotism is defined as the last resort of a scoundrel.

With all due respect to an enlightened but inferior lexicographer I beg to submit it is the first.

-Ambrose Bierce, writer (24 Jun 1842-1914)

How To Do It:

How To Do It:

[] Line up the Judiciary, the Representatives, the sympathetic News Outlets and get them working on it.

[] Repeat the "Big Lies" often so that enough people believe them.

[] Find a popular charismatic "Idiot" to run for the highest office. A "Useful Idiot" that can be controlled.

[] Get the "Idiot" elected, use your representatives to fix the election if needed. Push to broaden his powers early and (lots of).

[] Get the "Idiot" to install your people in key posts, to control the mechanics of the plan.

[] Scare the news media. Sue them, prosecute if needed. Big settlements with 1 or 2 will scare the rest into line.

[] Scare the Congress by threatening to "Primary" them if they don't stay in line. They will tone down the coverage voluntarily.

[] Push the Lawmakers to advance the laws (that will start your plan) early & fast so very few have the ability to fight back. Get protest suits before the courts early

[] Pick a group to blame; Scare the voters with surreptitious kidnappings and mass deportations.

*Start with the Latinos (Jews, Blacks, Gays; it doesn't matter pick an easy group) to scare the rest of the populace.

*It's the idea of the midnight raids, the Kristallnacht, the secret police state that will scare them.

Toddle 4 - Wowie

He caught it. It was that simple. His face beamed with surprise, he squealed, then giggled. Austin looked at the ball in his hands. He seemed unsure what to do next so I encouraged him to throw the ball back to me.

He held it tight in his hands for a moment and then hopped, and hopped again, giggling all the way. He was celebrating, wouldn't you? Do you remember the first ball you caught? I do, I was thirty-four.

Austin is starting to resist authority (good for you). However, right now authority is Mommy. He is preparing himself to be two. Mommy, no matter what she thinks, or how much she has read, is not prepared for the "Terrible Twos". Unless you have been through it before, you wouldn't understand. It's not really explainable.

Small persons, are figuring everything out. An adult already has a book of previously discovered things to assist in figuring things out. Small persons barely have a page of discoveries to draw from. So each new finding is so marvelous it causes the giggling, smiling, "WOWIE" reflex. This, I believe, is what is so marvelous about watching these tiny people; it's the wowie that we loose as we "grow up."

Austin looked at me, hopped once again, then laughed loud. He shook the ball with both hands, "Ga Duh, dis bat" Loosely translated, "Gordon I caught it, I caught it!"

Jack Nicholson not withstanding, This is as good as it gets

Toddle 3 - Cat's Paw

 Cat's Paw

Sometimes things are special, other times of course they're not. It's mostly deciding which is and which is not that makes the difference.

There is a tiny white paw, it reaches around the doorframe, and tickles the bottom of the door. This so delights our little man that he must giggle. There is so much delight in this little one's eyes, that it becomes a special event.

Who, in fact are these marvelous little furry people? How did they get here? Are they for Me? They're not quite as big as me, but at least there not so big as everyone else. Can I pick them up by their fuzzy bodies?

They smile and buzz and purr! Austin found time to lay his cheek on these new and wonderful critters, to make sure someone knew how special he thought they were and he rubbed them a little too hard but they didn't mind cause they rubbed him right back, as they had found a new and wonderful creature as well.

Toddle 2 - DareDevil-try

It was not precisely a dare, but it was a test. I watched his slow progression from the ground to the pedals; he gauged my interest with calculating mirth.

He knew I was somewhat preoccupied with the seventeen feet of bum wipes he had cheerfully dispensed for me, just moments before.

I half-noticed his fingers grasp the handlebars properly and I managed some phrase of congratulations.

This is where the average human adult, underestimates the underlying cleverness (or depravity) of the species. I had no idea that this toddler, was coolly calculating my every move, while negotiating a very tricky maneuver of his own.

Poor, aging Uncle, had been outfoxed, out-maneuvered and out-witted by an eighteen-month-old child. He didn't call my attention until he was set. "Ga-Duh" he said, clear as a bell.

We are working on the "Gordon" thing, as well as many other words. It is my considered opinion that baby talk is learned from parents. "Goo-goo, da-da" are not the only times this happens. Even when we teach children the language, we are sloppy and lazy. For instance: I don't say my name as it is spelled, "Gore-Done"; it usually sounds more like "Ga-Duh" which is what he said in the first place.

"Ga-Duh" he said, clear as a bell, from the top of the tricycle seat, where he stood with his hands out at his side. His expression was one I have only seen before on persons about to leap from perfectly good aircraft, on purpose.

Being a dutiful, as well as aging Uncle, I freaked and leapt to my feet. I stopped myself from hollering, a sure way to get him to fall. Even as I reached for him, I mulled the situation over. His manner told me he was seeking some show of pride in his skill and bravery.

I had to admit I was proud of him, I mean would you do that? On a more hormonal level, the kid has balls. However, I could think of few more dangerous things he could have done. Also, irrepressible toddler had craftily maneuvered aging Uncle into being elsewhere while he performed this maneuver. He must have known it would be met with disfavor, and craftily arranged a "scenario" to handle the situation. It was kinda spooky.

I briefly consider all this , then screamed, "GET DOWN FROM THERE!!"

Not really, what I did was smile and say, "Austin" in as serious a tone as I might, without showing alarm or displeasure. He knew he would have to listen to a short speech, and took it gracefully.

"Mommy would not like that at all, Buddy." He leapt into my outstretched arms. After my heart stopped pounding I hugged him as well as I am able, and rolled him on the floor twice. After the giggling faded I handed him his spill-proof, sipper cup thingy, loaded with milk.

He rolled onto Bearfoot, (a large stuffed Teddy, with enormous feet) and deftly worked the cup of milk. I began to replace the deluge of stuffed animals and Fischer-Price Doodads in the toy box. I started philosophizing about the complex range of emotion and reason that was at work in this infant. The Human mind and spirit can be truly amazing.

Before I could turn about to check on the adventurous lad, I heard the creaking of a tricycle seat, and a giggled, "Ga-Duh".

Toddle is an Onomatopoeia

I had no moral responsibility to the boy, other than the one taken on as a babysitter. This mainly required that I feed and change him regularly, and not allow him to fall in the pool, run with scissors or be eaten by a pack of wild dogs. The usual stuff Mommies worry about.

This particular instance, Austin and I traversed the great sea of concrete to visit the Aquarium. (What? ..in the desert?) His bottle firmly stuck in his face, he giggled and flirted with me all the way there.

Outside the aquarium, is a botanical garden

Being One-and-a-half, the world is experienced as a mystery, by all the senses. This generally applies to anything about the face of the 18 month old and particularly applies to the mouth and nose. It should be noted that there seems to be a set order of orifices, that being; mouth, nose, ears, etc.

Anyway, Austin toddled off over the lawn in search of new and colorful things to eat. We had lately been working on languages and though he only rarely utters full words, his intonation and inflection are brilliant. Great-Grandma maintains that he will never learn to speak if everybody keeps handing him stuff when he grunts. She is probably right.

So Austin grabbed the nastiest, brownest looking weed, with big sticker-kinda-looking thingies on it and looked at me.

"Ma-oo-um-aa?" he uttered, holding the pollen laden, dirt-encrusted weed just beyond my reach. Though the phonemes were meaningless to me, the tone was clear. It was the tone Marsha Mason used in The Goodbye Girl when she said "Because I'm the Mommy, that's why." Except Austin was telling me, "I've already looked at this wonderful and mysterious object, now I must put it in my mouth."

Perhaps now would be a good time to bring up some painfully technical stuff. It is a known fact that a baby's synapses work much faster than an adult Uncle's. Small children also have a gift for being 4 inches beyond ones reach at any given time. I should also mention that the laughter of children is the finest sound in the universe.

Aging Uncle made a grab for the weed and managed to get all of it away from incredibly agile toddler's mouth and most of it out of his hand. The remainder, of course, went directly into his nose. A look of astonishment overcame his face and metamorphosed into and aura of distaste mixed with intense concentration. Dear Austin removed the tendril of weed from his left nostril. He looked at it, he looked at me. He raised his eyebrows, said "Uh-oh" and sneezed.

I don't recall hearing him sneeze before, although I'm sure he must have. In either case, Austin thought this at once hilarious and mystifying, so much that he tried it again. Fortunately, even aging Uncle's can move fast enough for that. As soon as the giggle wore off that, he toddled off toward a tree to investigate. Using a slight rising intonation he said, "Da-dar?" Meaning of course, would you be kind enough to lift me up there. ("Da-dar?" = Gordon)

It was a new tree for Austin, It was a Wisteria bush, but we had not got that far, botanically speaking. To our surprise and delight, a hummingbird popped up over the bush, and hovered directly in front of Austin. After a long, slow intake of breath he began with "ooooh!" and then giggled contagiously.

Did I mention that the laughter of children is the finest sound in the universe?

It's Too Late

 It's Too Late

(roll Carol King "It's too late".)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqwLrJ6QWho

I've been on this planet of ours for 60 odd years. In my opinion it's too late. We've passed the tipping point and nothing we can do now will stop it. So, We'd better get used to the heat, storms and the death of a multitude of plants and animals on our planet. Even worse, as the permafrost and ice melts it will release previously sequestered carbon, viruses and bacterium that we haven't had to deal with for thousands of years. If you think Covid was bad wait until you catch the Jurassic flu.

It's Great Chain.

The frogs die off and eventually the predators who feed on them die too. The bees die off and plants that they helped pollinate eventually die off, too. Plants like apples, corn, almonds, etc.

Habitat Destruction

We hack down trees which, for thousands of years have given us breath, held back the land from sliding and given shelter to species that are another part of that great chain.

It's too late, now. The best we can do is to slow it down and that, only if we slow or stop the carnage. If we do we won't stop it, we will just slow it down. It's too late to stop it.

We've already fished out the Herring, Tuna etc. Any suggestions on how to stop the factory ships from killing the Oceans? Even with good regulations, they'll find a way to get around it. More people makes a need for more food.

Greed, it's all about greed and stupidity. If only we understood what's going on. If only we gave a damn when we do figure it out.

1972

40 odd years ago I whined about the Great Lake frog population mutating from pollution. My family laughed at me. If I was 6 years old at the time they would have patted me on the head and said something reassuring. Remember the idiotic Senator with the snowball (Jim Inhofe)? Remember the Cigarette manufacturers?

We've always known what we needed to do, but the monied interests have always prioritized their bottom line over the survival of our planet. So have the officials we elect to get things done.

The Answer

There isn't one. Period. We had our moments and due to greed and stupidity (see above) we blew it. At least I'll be dead before the worst of the food riots start.

Jupiter's Journey

Jupiter's Journey

We live in an unusual star system. Most of the systems in our Galaxy, that we got a look at are binary star systems. The Solar System should have been, too. Anyway here's the short version of my take on it:

Jupiter is the binary partner to our sun that never quite made the leap to fusion. Most likely because the Sun got there first and blew Jupiter's flame out and swung it into the outer reaches; re-aligning planets and moons on the way.

The new orbit grabbed the outer planets and re-aligned them, too.

The Sun continued it's fusion reaction gaining mass (and gravitational power). On Jupiter's way back in the Suns gravity whipped Jupiter into a new orbit, closer in and less elliptical. This may have been the trip that dragged Mercury into it's devastating orbit.

Once again, almost star Jupiter influenced the orbits of the inner planets and began the internal stresses on the new inner planets that started devastating volcanic eruptions. On the it's way to the outer part of our system, the Outer Planets influenced Jupiter as much as it did them and re-aligned Jupiter's orbit again.

One final trip inward, Jupiter's new orbit dragged tons of asteroids from the Ort Cloud to bombard the planets on it's last trip before it's final settling onto it's current orbit.

Now we are up to The Late Heavy Bombardment.

Venus never recovered from the volcanoes. Mercury was baked into the shape it's in now. Mars barely recovered from the volcanoes when the bombardment finished destroying it's atmosphere. Earth got lucky thanks to it's position between Mars and the Sun and only got a near miss from Jupiter's latest swing through the system.

When our Moon final settled it's orbit it helped drag water up through Earth's crust and helped create the ocean world we now enjoy.

SCOTUS Leaked a draft decision; WTF?!

The Leaked SCOTUS draft decision is more than an assault on our rights; abortion is not the only thing to go.

This is the opening shot on the fascist takeover of the 2024 elections.

They will start with the election fraud stories, which we all know are false.

Then they will send it to the MAGA / Q-anon infiltrators who now control the elections in key flip over states. They will deny or de-certify the results which will send it to the Congress.

Then the MAGAs in congress will wail and gnash their teeth about the fake fraud.

If they have the seats they will change the electors which will send it to our freshly Trumped up SCOTUS.

We know what they will do from the decision leaked last night (PS you really have to read the decision and all the regs and rules on voting to get this,. I have done so.)

There is a massive fascist movement across the World, take your face out of your phone for a moment and search for "Fascist states" or "fascist countries". You may be shocked at the results.

SCOTUS = Supreme Court of the United States

Sandy Hook 9 Years After

 Never Forget:

The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, United States, when 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 26 people, including 20 children between six and seven years old, and six adult staff members. Wikipedia

The End

All the pundits (i.e., Rachel Maddow) Keep saying it is the beginning of a bid to corrupt the elections. It's not the beginning it's The End. They've already won and anything new is just cleanup.

It has been planned for a long time, Since before Cheeto Face got elected. The Supreme Court was the judicial endgame. All the regional judges were already in place. Just read about what worked in 1930s Germany.

We saw it tested with the dry run on January 6th. The insurrection was not the only thing that happened then. Look up the police reports for that day locally. It's planned, it's well planned and well backed by big money and big Media. Democracy isn't dying, it's dead.

Test 2 will be during and after the 2022 elections. The pundits will wring their hands and say clever things, but nothing will change. It's over. Intelligence, Humanity and Democracy lost already. Look back to my witty posts in 2016-2020. Even then I was saying to read the Cliff Notes on the Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich; it's the playbook they used - back then - to start this.

Do You really think the Orange Moron could have done this on his own? It's been in progress for decades. The Fascists chip away at it little by little. An outrageous excess over there get's overlooked because it was a busy news day. Acts that should have been grounds to remove a Politician from their post, are overlooked because of what the Orange Moron got away with for so long. We are numb and We are letting it happen.

 Democracy isn't dying, it's dead.

Mrs Pindar

She "taught" Physical Science when I was in eighth grade. Mrs. Pindar had the ability to turn the most wickedly amazing science into a boring rote recital of the 20 year old information in the text she used. She was a mean-spirited burnout who should have retired, or been retired.

In one class I suggested that some of the dinosaur bones resembled birds and it seemed to me that they didn't go extinct but grew wings and flew away.

She told me I was an idiot, it was impossible, she growled. She further claimed that I was a vegetable so I asked her if I could be a carrot. It was likely not the best possible response but in those days I didn't know better.

BTW, those bones are now referred to as "Avian Dinosaurs" and are commonly accepted to be the forerunners of birds today.

Your Choice In The Age Of Covid

Did you realize that we were such social creatures? Is it clearer now?
We see the healthcare workers sacrificing their lives in service of us; You and me. They are not being forced to do it, Our country is not that far down the road to Fascism, yet.
Can we do less than these brave folks? We are not being asked to go as far, we are only being asked to wear a mask and stay home unless you HAVE to go out.
We get off pretty easy in all this, and it's far from over.
So we can choose to support each other, as many of us do. Wear a mask, limit contacts, wash your hands. While doing these simple things we are learning new things;

Many employers will be encouraging work from home (telecommuting). Imagine how much energy and gasoline could be saved. Imagine how much less stressful you day will be without traffic jams and lousy lunches.

Instead of dragging the family out for dinner, have dinner brought to your family. BTW, home cooking still tastes the best.

Give up slogging around the grocery store (Walmart, Walgreens etc)? order online and pick it up.

How simple and refreshing washing your hands can be?

So we can choose to support each other, as many of us do; or we can choose to use assault weapons to threaten our government workers because some rich folks spent a bundle to encourage you to further THEIR ends; and yes, some folks are that easily led. In all honesty, you are taking up arms against your fellow citizens. That makes you the bad guys.
What's your choice? Let's be blunt; will you choose selfishness and and stupidity, in the guise of protecting "your rights"? Your rights end when it infringes on another citizen's rights; period. This is basic to civilized societies around the world and throughout history.
Tell me then, what are the other rights in the Bill Of Rights? (HINT: there are 10 of them) You likely only know the 2nd amendment because some Nazi or the NRA (Seems redundant) mentioned it while convincing you to take up arms against your fellow citizens. What's the 7th amendment? ( Right of trial by jury in civil cases.) BTW I knew that without looking it up. What does the 2nd amendment say (Hint: it does not say the right to bear arms.)
Make your choice, but in these days of media, you WILL be remembered.

The End Of The World As We Know It

Remember that feeling? It was November 3, 2016. Some of us "Progressives" went to bed early because it was in the bag. Me, I'm a news junkie and I stayed up. I was missing Walter Cronkite, because the lineup of respected "Pundits" was blathering on and on.
I can't remember exactly but I was probably writing ( I often do that). With my jaw hanging open I turned my attention back to the Pundits; did I just hear that? I changed the channel several times, yes I just heard that, "With 92% of the votes reported CNN is now calling Donald J. Trump the winner and next President of the United States"
"ummm..." I thought; also "WTF" and several other things. There may have been some scatology involved and possibly tears I was, after all, in shock.
Think back to that day. Remember how it felt when you found out that this self-promoting, sociopathic, ass-clown was President Elect.
I grew up in Hackensack NJ. It is a stone's throw from New York City. I read the Bergen Record every day, sometimes twice while I was growing up. I read the NY Times as often as I could. Trump, the rich, rapacious, spoiled failure (ass-clown) figured prominently most days. He was a dirty joke, a symbol of everything that was wrong with America.
He called in to radio shows pretending to be someone else promoting "The Donald", even the interviewer knew who it really was but they played along. He mugged for the camera in any way he could and shamelessly lied about his successes, when everyone knew his successes were basically due to Daddy throwing money at his massive failures. I think he was up to 3 bankruptcies by then, but I didn't check my facts.
He was an ignorant, arrogant, self promoting rich kid who would have been selling mobile homes if not for Daddy's money. Oh yeah, he was always that ugly and stupid but he did know how to promote himself. That is what he craved; the Limelight. He used Daddy's money to take out a full page ad in the NY Times to call for the death penalty on 5 kids of color who turned out to be innocent. He did not retract it or apologize when they arrested the real criminals.
I realized my mouth was still open.
I don't know how many people cried, cursed or contemplated suicide that night. I'm not sure how many self-satisfied "Progressives" woke up the next morning and sat over their coffee in shocked dis-belief, but I'll bet there were many.
"How could this happen in the USA?" I may have said that aloud, possibly to Rachel Maddow who was on the TV at the moment.
I realized my mouth was still open.
If you want another moment like that, just don't vote. If you want to get rid of President Donald J. Ass-Clown vote. That's all it takes. The concerned and intelligent outnumber the Trumpsters 2-1. So vote. Better yet, get behind the local Democrats in you area and volunteer; make 10 phone calls.

The Hard Work

Many years ago, bands of wandering hunter gatherers made a difficult transition. They started farming and husbanding animals and changed the world. It was hard, such transitions always are but they did it. The result was civilization; Our world.
All those years ago people took advantage of the climate, the water, the Sun and the earth they walked upon and changed the world forever.
It is now our turn. It's our turn to do the hard work and change the world for the better.  We let it get out of hand, because we trusted the corporations to not be evil. We were wrong about that.
Corporations are intrinsically evil as their first concern is profits over people. They have proved that there is no such thing as "too low" when it comes to profits.

Let's put the oil companies to sleep, their time is over. It is only through their relentless campaigns of misinformation that we are still dependent on petroleum products. BP should have been euthanized when they destroyed the Gulf Coat and said "Who, us?"

Let's get a hold on corporations like Nestle and others who have been buying up all the water on the planet for the last 50 years. They are being very quiet about it, I would call it sneaky. They don't want you to realize that in the next 20 years you will be dependent on them for clean water. Could it be they who are lobbying against clean water legislation around the world?

Let's end industrial farming for good. The life of the American farmer has gone from nobility to despair; because of companies like Conagra. Like Walmart they are actively forcing the competition out of business.
Farming has always been hard work, but it used to be worth it. Food use to be good for you. Now just look around at the amount of laxatives and stomach remedies. We shouldn't need to take vitamins but the processors take all the good out of food so it will fit in the box properly.

For most of us the combined knowledge of the human race is at our finger tips. That should be the first thing we fix. Finally get the billions of dollars worth of funding that Qwest and AT&T (et al) got for extending connectivity to rural and under-served communities. They have as yet to do that, as far as I know they kept the money. Now they are conglomerating to RULE the Internet, streaming and phones. Let's put them in their place.

It's time to take Healthcare back from giant for-profit corporations. Unfortunately the government is the only one who can take over; but the infrastructure is already there. Thousands of workers can be transitioned to a new system, one that will allow every citizen to have the kind of health care that only politicians enjoy now. No copays, no $100.00 aspirins. Just imagine all the good the workers could do who are now paid to deny your claims as the HMO's first line of gouging.

It seems like it comes down to 2 choices:
We can let the Industrialists and Fascists take control, and they are mostly there now.
We can change the world for the better.

It has to be up to you and I, because we see what happens when politicians are believed. These last 3 years are a perfect example.
It isn't that hard, for you and I. We will have to put up with some transitions.
*Gas sucking, pollution spewing cars will give way to electrics.
*Connectivity that costs about a 1/4 of what you are paying now includes your phone, "cable" and does not include whatever ridiculous add on fees they can get away with.
*Health systems that welcome everyone and will not bankrupt you if you get sick; we'll only have to give up the massive fees and "Co-pays" for that one.
*Clean water that will only require us to give up plastics and stop flushing garbage and chemicals into the aquifers. It will require municipalities and states to do the hard work and clean up their act; remember Flint. We have to hold their feet to the fire.

My dream is to put them all out of business. The employees can be transitioned to the new paradigm and the only ones to lose out will be a few billionaires, who likely already have a plan for that.
I want politicians to be as afraid of losing their cushy positions as we are of losing our lousy jobs.

So what do you want to do?

Your Children's And Grandchildren's Future

We are selling out your Children's and Grandchildren's future.

1. We wrote checks for trillions of dollars because the Administration used this outbreak as an opportunity to make money and campaign for re-election. Even before the outbreak, the Republicans pushed through a tax bill that gave more than 80% of the benefits to the wealthiest top 10%; campaign donation pay backs.

2. After 50 years there is still no significant legislation for mitigating global climate change, mostly because of Petrochemical donations to politicians. This Administration is working to undo what little has been done either because  a. Obama did it or b. because of Petrochemical donations to politicians.

3. The US clean water supply (and that around the world) is being bought up by companies like Nestle because they know what's coming. The water coming from our taps is so poisonous that everybody thinks nothing of needing a water filter. This administration is busy undoing what little protections there were either because  a. Obama did it or b. because of donations to politicians.

4. Nazis, racists (I refuse to call them white supremacists) and pinheads are infiltrating the armed service, police forces and city councils around the country. What happens when you have a (insert name of Democrat) for President sign on your lawn, or ACLU bumper sticker and 2 Proud Boys and a pinhead answer your home invasion 911 call?

What can we do?

1. Take back the money. Set the tax structure back to pre Reagan days when Billionaires were paying a decent share. NO ONE who makes a billion (or more) dollars a year should be paying zero taxes - period. End subsidies for billion dollar industries -

Conservative estimates put U.S. direct subsidies to the fossil fuel industry at roughly $20 billion per year; with 20 percent currently allocated to coal and 80 percent to natural gas and crude oil.
